Current Look: Leather Boots

Hey Beauties!
I trust you all had a fun and splendid NY Fashion Week! I was lucky enough to attend the Blogger’s Night Out event & got a great gift bag. I’ve been busy reviewing several products from it, so look out for those posts this week!
Looking through my past entries, I can’t believe I’ve never posted an outfit with my favorite cardigan! My dark gray Kensie ruffle cardigan is a staple in my wardrobe. Every time I need something girlie but not too structured (which is almost always), I throw this on.
Do you have a go to cardigan?

Shopping Haul: Sephora
Hey Beauties! So, I finally got a chance to use my Sephora gift card that I got this Christmas. And it was about time — I ran out of my favorite cover up recently, and it’s been a rough couple of weeks without it, lol.
As I’ve said before, Dior Skin’s Flash Radiance Booster Pen (whoa long name!) is my absolute favorite cover up. It hides my imperfections so perfectly without looking heavy or cakey. I put it on in front of my roomie (who is a boy, hehe) and he was so amazed at how it didn’t even look like I had make up on! Impressive.

I also bought myself a mini Sephora brand nail polish for only $4. I left most of my colors back in California over Christmas break, and the only one I have here is hot pink. So I decided to get a dark grey, just in time for Blogger’s Night Out! What do you think?

The last thing I got was actually a sample! I’m so happy because normally I don’t get samples when I purchase in store. I usually only get them when I purchase online. I was happily surprised when the sales lady gave me Clinique’s “High Lengths Mascara.” The applicator is unlike anything I’ve used before. It’s curved, and the bristles are only on one side and very tiny:

I’ve only tried it out one time, but I really like it so far! I’ll do a full review after I’ve used it more than once.
So, ladies, that’s about it for today! I hope everyone is having a fun and fabulous New York Fashion Week so far :) I can’t wait to head into the city for Blogger’s Night Out tomorrow night with my favorite male blogger, Mac of DailyMister.com! Until then…

Keeping Caffeine Chic
First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR beauties! I was contemplating on what my first entry of the year should be, but since I haven’t gone anywhere too fancy (read: I’ve been in pajamas for the past 5 days) I haven’t had anything to photograph. So I figured I would share this ridiculous piece of fashion news with you:
Let’s have a serious discussion about people who are so rich that they can afford a $165 Jimmy Choo coffee sleeve.
Yeah. I’m serious:
This doesn’t actually make sense, does it? I mean, who is going to actually carry around a coffee sleeve to put around a disposable coffee cup? I know that I’m so used to chucking my cup away after the final sip, so I’m not sure I’d be able to hold on to this. Not that I can afford to spend $165 on what a piece of cardboard does for free, but anyway.
Let’s break it down: The whole washable-but-looks-like-it’s-disposable coffee cup made sense because it was environmentally friendly. Remember those? They saved trees and whatnot. This? Not so environmentally friendly. First, it’s made out of leather. Second, you still have to use a disposable cup. Third, IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE.
Fine, maybe it’s really cute and I wish that I were rich enough to be able to afford it/chic enough to make it look good/organized enough to not lose it right away. But at the end of the day, seriously, the piece of cardboard works fine.
Thoughts?
Oh, and of course…

Procrastination-Inspired Gift Giving

Disclaimer: This gift set compilation was put together under the somewhat ass-hole-ish assumption that you, the reader, only forgot to get things for your fabulous girl friends. If you forgot to get something for dad, just hook him up with a tie.
ANYWAYS … Listen, you really can’t go wrong with giving a female on your list some skin care or make up related items. Why? Because even if she doesn’t love it, she will probably end up re-gifting it. And at this point, you likely have something for everyone you actually care about on your list, and have now just forgotten about the few people you didn’t think you’d being seeing over the holidays. These are some really great and relatively safe bets for any girlfriend on your list.
And hey, if the receiver hates it — tell her to send it along to me. I’m definitely in the mood for a new makeup palette or two.
