Waterproof Beauty for Under $10
My mother always wears waterproof mascara and eyeliner. Living in Hawaii before moving to California, I assume it’s her way of stopping raccoon eyes that come from a constantly sunny climate.
I, however, have never been a big fan of waterproof anything. Usually the quality is not usually not good enough for everyday wear. Plus, I don’t go swimming every single day, and since both mascara and eyeliners expire within the usual timeline, it can’t be used again next season.
This summer, before purchasing an expensive designer waterproof product, I decided to test out some drugstore finds:

Wet N’ Wild’s MegaLast Waterproof Mascara: The bristles on this are a little too close for my liking, and the mascara went on quite clumpy after the second coat. But, after using my Sonia Kushak Lash Comb, my lashes were full, dark, and ready for a swim. Waterproof? Oh yeah. No scary eyes for me.

Wet N’ Wild’s h20-proof Liquid Eyeliner: After swimming for 2+ hours (including an intense game of Monkey in the Middle with a 7 year old), this liner was still perfectly in place. I must admit, I was very impressed. The only downside is the thick brush, making application a little more difficult than usual.
If you’re looking for a cheap waterproof thrill, these are the products for you. Grand total of $6: Can I get an Amen?!

Wet N’ Wild MegaLash Waterproof Mascara: $2.99 at Walgreens, online or in stores; Wet N’ Wild h20 Proof Liquid Eyeliner in Ultra Black: $3.99 at drugstore.com
